The voice of “reason” seems always to be saying, “You know you need to be careful now. What if it doesn’t work out? Hey, let’s look at this logically,” and so on…
The truth is, no human ever knows the details of what tomorrow holds. We can plan for a specific outcome, but only time will reveal how close to reality our vision of the future actually is.
This uncertainty about what is to come has held so many from stepping out on the water, believing that staying in a “sinking boat” was safer. The sinking of the vessel might not be apparent, but here’s a question to consider: Do you think the father of the Jewish nation knew how influential his descendants would become at the time when he set out on his journey to an unknown destination?
You can only control a few things, such as what you say and the other actions you take, but you never really know how far-reaching the outcome will be. My advice? And I’m also speaking to myself when I say this: Don’t let fear stop you from stepping out.
The fear of the unknown is almost always so overrated. And I’m finding out increasingly that the rewards usually always outweigh and out-score the risks.
