I learned something new today: Stop second-guessing yourself!
Okay, it’s really not new; I’ve heard it before, but not quite like this. There are several things I haven’t done, not because they’re impossible but because so many years of programming have conditioned my mind to believe I’m not supposed to do them now. Maybe later…but not quite now.
I’ve heard that the battle is in the mind. I guess I know that now more than ever. Ultimately, it may be an external force that sparks self-doubt, but you may find it quite difficult to forgive yourself for letting it break you.
“An empire toppled by its enemies can rise again, but one which crumbles from within, that’s dead forever.” – Helmut Zemo
You’re better off knowing this before you come up against it, but if you’re there already, don’t despair; it’s battle time, but there’s hope for victory. Just pick up your faith, dust it off, and gear up. The battle isn’t over unless you say so…and the fight starts from within.
